Matthew Kaufman

Matthew joined Consolidated Affiliates full time in 2004 as the Company’s lead analyst. He has extensive knowledge of financial modeling and is an integral part of the due diligence and valuation team. Matthew has completed thousands of complex leasehold and fee ownership valuations. His work has given him a broad understanding of retail business operations and valuation methodology.

Matthew has spent extensive time studying the broad and complex real estate finance markets. His studies have focused on the multifaceted relationships that financing creates between lenders, borrowers, landlords, and tenants. This understanding of the inter-relationships is key to helping clients be successful.

Matthew heads the Company’s GIS mapping and geographical modeling team. He has years of experience with sophisticated demographic, site selection, and gravity modeling. He also manages all of the Company’s IT matters, especially the management of an extensive national retailer database.

Matthew has been a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers for almost 10 years and holds a real estate license in the State of New Jersey.

Matthew spends much of his free time volunteering for the Monmouth Council Boy Scouts of America. In his current position of Chairman of Twin Lights District,  he is responsible for leading and coordinating all district activities and fundraising for nearly 2,500 Cub & Boy Scouts. He is an Eagle Scout and serves on the Board of Trustees of the New Jersey Scout Museum.

He holds a BBA in Finance from Pace University and a MS in Real Estate from New York University. He is currently working towards becoming a Certified Commercial Investment Member. Matthew grew up in Monmouth County, NJ and currently resides there with his wife Kim and their son and daughter.
